• About The Role

  • Charge up your career

It takes courage to challenge the ordinary. We're looking for graduates who've got the curiosity and passion to charge up their career and to help drive change at Volkswagen Group UK

    About the Programme

With training and support to stretch your skills and explore your interests, our graduate programme is a great launchpad for your career.  Life here is far from ordinary, it's full of unexpected challenges, opportunities and fantastic rewards.

Our two-year structured scheme gives you all the support and development you need to help reshape the way the world moves. You’ll enjoy a range of placements to develop your skills, share your ideas and be a valued member of each team.

On our Sales Graduate Programme, you’ll spend time across our sales teams to understand how we drive performance across our brands and ensure our customers can drive the vehicles they love.

Direct Sales: In this rotation you’ll support with the coordination of information and analysis of our sales channels as we move towards full electrification and direct-to-consumer sales.

Fleet Sales: You’ll spend time in Fleet Sales to understand corporate & public sector fleets, contract hire and leasing. You’ll have the opportunity to support with sales analysis, operational development and project work in this varied rotation.

Network Sales: You’ll support our UK wide retail network by providing insight and analysis, working on network campaigns and programmes to drive sales and getting involved with projects and events.

    What do you need?

We're looking for people who are curious, have a drive to succeed and seek out opportunities to learn, develop and stretch themselves. If you share that desire and want to be a part of our success, you're a good match.

You'll need to hold or be working towards a degree in any discipline. We are particularly keen to receive applications from students with good interpersonal skills, detail orientation and creativity.

We have a duty of care to our team members and wouldn't want you to spend a large amount of time commuting, so we require our graduates to be based within a reasonable radius of our Milton Keynes head office. You'll also need to have the right to work in the UK.

    What's in it for you?

As a Graduate, you'll start on a £31,800 salary and get a new car every six months (as long as you have a full, clean UK driving licence). You'll also receive 27 days' holiday – plus bank holidays – a discretionary bonus, pension scheme, a range of flexible benefits, employee well-being support, an on-site restaurant, cycle to work scheme and shopping/entertainment discounts.

    What's the assessment process?

Our graduate recruitment process is designed to enable you to show us your true abilities. Once you've hit the apply button, you'll be asked to complete numerical assessment and situational judgement tests. If you successfully complete these, we'll invite you to complete an online video interview so that we have a chance to get to know you.

Our final step in the journey would be for you to attend a face-to-face assessment centre in early 2025, where you will take part in a range of activities based on real-life tasks. You'll also have a chance to meet some of our managers and the existing graduate cohort.

Successful candidates will be offered a place soon after the assessment centre and will join us in September 2025.

Please note that applications may close before the application deadline, so apply early to avoid disappointment.

Meet some of the team

Ryan, Customer Journey Manager

I originally joined VWG as an undergraduate in 2016 and then joined the graduate programme in 2018. The rotations on the graduate programme really pushed me out of my comfort zone in three significantly different areas of the business. After the programme, I became a Commercial Analyst and then joined aftersales. At that point, I’d worked in product, marketing, and aftersales, which put me in a good position to apply for my current role, which is all about fixing customer pain points along with their purchase and ownership experience. The breadth of the organisation means there is room to develop and grow. My next immediate aspiration is to experience VWG in another international market. And we’ll see where that takes me!
