• About The Role

  • The Procurement team are recruiting for a Buyer (Assistant Procurement Category Manager) on a full time permanent basis.

    What you could be doing:
    •  Reporting into the Procurement Category Manager, you will lead on the delivery of projects and value generation within a particular indirect spend area.
    • You will be providing commercial guidance and where necessary coaching and supporting your stakeholders on Purchasing process and policy.
    • You'll take the lead on tender activity to leverage spend across our different brands and entities; including scope review, supplier due diligence, negotiation and recommendation for approval via presentation.
    • You’ll proactively identify and implement areas of improvement, building strong stakeholder relationships while adding value to our core processes and ensure best practice is met at all times.
    Skills and experience you can bring to role:
    • You'll need to have a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills and a strong commercial acumen. 
    • You'll need to be a self-starter, who can operate independently in accordance to the category strategies agreed with your line manager.
    • You need to be a confident and effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
