• About The Role

  • Charge up your career

It takes courage to challenge the ordinary. We're looking for graduates who've got the curiosity, ambition and ability to charge up their career and to help drive change at Volkswagen Group UK.

    About the Programme

With training and support to stretch your skills, take responsibility and explore your interests, our graduate programme is a great launchpad for your career. Life here is far from ordinary, it's full of unexpected challenges, opportunities and fantastic rewards.

Our two-year structured scheme gives you all the support and development you need to help reshape the way the world moves. You’ll enjoy a range of placements to develop your skills, share your ideas and be a valued member of each team.

On our Marketing & Customer Experience Graduate Programme, you’ll learn how we put our customers at the heart of everything we do:

Digital If you’re placed in this rotation you’ll support in developing and maintaining a strong content presence across the brands' digital touchpoints. This ensures our customers receive up to date information in innovative ways about our model ranges and campaigns in our digital estate.

CRM If you’re in this rotation you’ll work on maximising CRM marketing activities for the brand and retailer network. We want to build stronger relationships with our customers and to do that we bring together insights and data to support our customers and potential customers buying and ownership experience.

Performance Marketing: You’ll spend time in our Performance Marketing team to support on creating results driven campaigns and approaches within digital marketing. You will support us to deliver innovative marketing approaches across our digital channels to build demand.

Customer Management: In this placement you’ll get close to our customers, building knowledge of our Customer Service Centre and Customer Insights Program, working on projects to deliver improvements in customer satisfaction and build loyalty.

    What do you need?

We're looking for people with curiosity and drive to succeed and who seek out opportunities to learn, develop and stretch themselves. If you share that desire and want to be a part of our success, you're a good match.

You'll need to hold or be working towards a degree in any discipline. We are particularly keen to receive applications from students with a creative eye, great communication skills, and a passion for customers.

We believe all employees should have a good work/life balance and wouldn't want you to spend a large amount of time commuting, so we require our graduates to be based within a reasonable distance from our Milton Keynes head office. You'll also need to have the right to work in the UK.

    What can we offer you?

As a Graduate, you'll start on a £31,800 salary. You'll also receive 27 days' holiday – plus bank holidays – access to our car schemes,  pension scheme, a range of flexible benefits, employee well-being support, an on-site restaurant, cycle to work scheme and shopping/entertainment discounts.

    What's the assessment process?

Our graduate recruitment process is designed to enable you to show us your true abilities. Once you've hit the apply button, you'll be asked to complete numerical and situational judgement tests. If you successfully complete these, we'll invite you to complete an online video interview so that we have a chance to get to know you.

The final step in the journey would be for you to attend a face-to-face assessment centre in early 2026, where you will take part in a range of activities based on real-life tasks. You'll also have a chance to meet some of our managers and the current graduate cohort.

Successful candidates will be offered a place soon after the assessment centre and will join us in September 2026.

If you’re ready to charge up your career, apply now.

To avoid disappointment, you are advised to submit your application as soon as possible as we reserve the right to close the vacancy early if a high volume of applications are received. This is to ensure that we can manage the application levels whilst maintaining a positive candidate experience. Unfortunately, once a vacancy has closed, we are unable to consider further applications.

Meet some of the team

Ryan, Customer Journey Manager

I originally joined VWG as an undergraduate in 2016 and then joined the graduate programme in 2018. The rotations on the graduate programme really pushed me out of my comfort zone in three significantly different areas of the business. After the programme, I became a Commercial Analyst and then joined aftersales. At that point, I’d worked in product, marketing, and aftersales, which put me in a good position to apply for my current role, which is all about fixing customer pain points along with their purchase and ownership experience. The breadth of the organisation means there is room to develop and grow. My next immediate aspiration is to experience VWG in another international market. And we’ll see where that takes me!
